Sponsorship and support

It is possible to become an individual sponsor for one of the children and thereby support the school’s work.

 

The costs add up to 500 euro per year and boarder (ca. 42 euro per month), for an extern student to 250 euro per year (ca. 21 euro per month).

 

This sponsorship includes accommodation and transport/electricity/water costs for the child.

Furthermore, it supports the financing of the staff and the didactic material.

Students with a sponsorship

Célio Gilles Fangang is a small boy who attends CERSOM for two years. He is 7 years old and starts the 3rd class now. Together with his sister Ornella, who is deaf as well, he lives in the boarding school. During the holidays the two go home. Their parents live in Bakem-Baré, a small village far away from Bafoussam. Célio and Ornella have two more deaf brothers, who live and work in Douala.  Célio likes to play ball, particularly football. His favorite food is rice with meat. Through Marlyse Bennefort Célio got the chance to go to school for learning. 

Jordas Manfo Lontso is a schoolboy in the 4th class. He is 13 years old and lives with his parents in Bafoussam. Every morning he takes a taxi to go to school. During the breaks he likes to draw and do handicrafts, he is a very creative boy. He likes to eat rice with fish and tomato sauce. Daniel and Christine Nevo from France support the little Jordas that he can go to school.

Ulrich Junior Nde is a 14 years old boy who attends the 6th class in CERSOM. He lives with his grandmother in Bafoussam, because his parents abandoned him. He loves to play football with his friends. Thanks to Marie Sophie Lambert and her family who contribute money for him yearly, Ulrich is lucky that he can go to school.

Rabbin Kenfack is a 15 years old schoolboy in the 6th class of CERSOM, who lives in the boarding school. During the holidays he goes home to a small village near by Bafoussam where his mother lives. Rabbin has four sisters and one brother who are all hearing. Despite his injured leg he likes to play football with his best friend Freddy. Furthermore he loves to eat spaghetti with rice. Through Philippe Ligneau Rabbin got the chance to go to school, for learning his own language of communication and other subjects.

Joël Bernard is a teenager in the 7th class. He was born in March 1999 and is 15 years old now. Joël lives in the boarding school, but during the holidays he goes to Baleng where friends of his family live. His parents he sees nearly never. Although he has no own bicycle it is much fun for him to drive. Apart from that likes to play football, too. Yearly CERSOM got money from Jacques and Anne-Marie Pineault, thus Joël got the possibility to go to school.

Elvira Christelle Kougaing Medie is 12 years old girl in the 5th class. She lives in the boarding school and her parents in a small village near by Bafoussam. Elvira is the youngest of four older siblings. Her favorite games are ball games, skipping rope and skip on one leg. Whenever Elvira is at home she loves to eat rice with fish and tomato sauce, cooked by her mother. A former German volunteer, Aline Adams, sponsors Elvira.  

Boris Kengni is a very intelligent boy who finished the 7th class as best student. Now he wants to continue in the college of CERSOM. He is 15 years old and lives in the boarding school. His parents, his two brother and four sisters live in Bamendou, a town far away from Bafoussam. He loves to do a lot of sport, particularly football and tennis. Nico Recknage, a former German volunteer of CERSOM, gives Boris the possibility to go to school.

Belvine Chirelle Kenfack is a girl in the 6th class. She is 13 years old and lives in the boarding school, because her mother and her two sisters live in village far away from Bafoussam. Her father is working in Yaoundé. Belvine was born deaf, but she likes to play, that she is a hearing girl. Whenever she has her hearing aid in the ear she tries to speak a lot. Belivne likes particularly to skip skipping rope and to play cards. Her favorite food is baguette with chocolate and biscuits. Through the family Lambert also Belvine got the chance to go to school.

There are still a lot of students who wait for a sponsorship in CERSOM!
